{Sponsor Spotlight & Review} Thanks Mama & EcoPosh Recycled Organic Training Pants

I love family-owned stores, and Thanks Mama is one of them! This cloth diaper and natural parenting store prioritizes your children's health by offering tons of natural products. They also have amazing customer service which is important to them. Throughout my communication with the Thanks Mama team for this review, I felt like I was just casually talking with a girlfriend! Super friendly and personable, and that is so very important to me! The Thanks Mama Team is full of parents who use many of the the products they sell themselves, so they have a vast wealth of personal knowledge and experience to share with and help their customers.

Thanks Mama doesn't just carry cloth diapers and trainers either. They have baby bedding, skin care for babies, baby gear, products for mom, maternity, nursery gear, toys, and plenty of accessories! You can even Shop by Brand and check out the sale section too. I love the selection of wraps and carriers too. It's a one-stop shop! You can also just use the search box if you are short on time and sort of know what you need. With so many cloth diaper stores out there, what makes Thanks Mama extra special? A whole bunch of reasons actually!

- Huge selection of the top major cloth diaper brands
- Frequent promotions and sales, right on the homepage!
- FREE Shipping on orders over $60
- 90-day Easy Returns
- Earn Rewards Dollars on every purchase
- Buy Safe with Confidence - Inspected and Monitored
- Price Guarantee
- Ship WorldWide!

With a price guarantee, you probably don't have much reason to shop anywhere else. Thanks Mama also has one of the largest Training Pants categories I seen too!

Thanks Mama was so kind in sending me a pair of EcoPosh Recycled Organic Training Pants to review for the upcoming Summer Cloth Diaper Giveaway Hop event. EcoPosh is the eco-friendly brand from Rumparooz and these certainly surpassed my expectations! These are a beautiful burnt orange color, and this is a size medium which fits 35-45 pounds. It's a very earthy tone of orange that I love and so are the other 4 colors available!

EcoPosh Training Pants feature an outer color made from recycled water bottles and organic cotton. Inside there are 2 absorbent inner layers made from bamboo, organic cotton and polyester, and also a hidden layer of biodegradable waterproof TPU material. Above you can see the extra sewn-in layer under the brown through the wetzone in the front. This extra protection also continues up to the top of the backside too. These are super soft inside and out, so no complaints here about comfort. I'm loving the eco-friendliness with the reusable factor (just like cloth diapers), but also the recycled water bottles material that is used. Add to that the organic cotton and bamboo, and these are a winning product all around!

These also have a wonderfully wide waist band for ultimate comfort too. If you look closely at the trainers while they are inside out, you can see that the seams are serged together to almost create it's own gusset around the legs. So at least if there is an accident, it will mostly be contained and soak the entire inside before leaking.

These are VERY trim, and fit Buddy extremely well! They've quickly become my favorite pair, and if they're washed, they are the ones I grab first. They have great coverage on the rear and also are nice and wide on the sides. Buddy is able to pull these up and down like regular underwear without any help from me at all which is super convenient.
EcoPosh are not fully waterproof according to the description, but unfortunately this feature was not tested by my little guy.....we seem to have turned a corner with potty training recently! Yes, at 3 1/2 we're finally, finally getting it and staying dry most of the time (even most naps and some full nights too!). These will provide enough protection for your child to dribble and run to the potty, or have a small accident. Any more then that and you'll probably have wet pants.

The only downside to these that I can see is if you are early in the potty training process and your child is still having very frequent accidents, these may not work for you. With the bamboo and organic these should be pretty fast absorbing, but since these are not fully waterproof these are definitely best for a child that is at the end of potty training and going into underwear most the time. There is a recommendation to use a Rumparooz microfiber newborn 6R soaker if you need extra absorbency, but for Buddy he has never done well with microfiber directly on his skin like that. Either way, these are perfect for our current stage in the potty training process and we'll continue to use them until we are completely accident free for a while!

Price: EcoPosh Recycled Organic Training Pants - $15.95

{Sponsor Spotlight & Review} Ready for Summer With Voda Swim

Summer is right around the corner! Are you ready to bare it all and walk the beach in a snazzy new swimsuit this year? If you're anything like me you haven't even attempted to work on toning your butt or thighs. *sigh* Oh well. At least this year I do have a few suits to choose from thanks to some awesome companies I'm working with this summer! For the days that I want a flirty, sexy look, I'll be choosing my new swimsuit from Voda Swim. Yes, this is the infamous brand of swimwear that claims to enhance your bust by 2 sizes!

  I chose the Envy Push Up ® Shirred One Piece in the Indigo Shimmer color. It's gorgeous! Based on the size chart I ordered using my bra size. As a 34A that put me in the size small, which fits perfectly (I'm a size 4 in jeans if that helps anyone).

When shopping for swimwear I always look for push up swimwear first, or swimwear that has a pocket or option for additional padding. Unfortunately padding can sag and seem a bit obvious when soaked with water, but with Voda Swim's patent pending technology there is very low water absorbency meaning you won't ever have to worry it. With no underwire, your chest gets a lift and plenty of support thanks to the padded swimwear from Voda Swim. And it looks no different than a regular bikini! The cups separate and lift naturally to enhance the cleavage you already have. I certainly don't look anything like the model in the pics above and didn't end up with any cleavage to speak of, but I have a very small chest so that's no surprise! The push up cups are barely small enough for my small chest. If I were any smaller I wouldn't even be able to fit in this suit! That being said, everything stays where it should while worn so I didn't worry one bit about anything moving and showing off anything I don't want to.

As you can see, my old suit just doesn't give me a nice shape in any way. I don't even fill out the lightly padded cups! In my Voda suit I fill it out just right and I feel and look supported. It totally looks natural too which makes me feel good about my body the way it is. There are so many real testimonials from customers of Voda Swim that can certainly tell you that this is for real. There is hope for the small chested with a padded swimsuit from Voda Swim!! :)

The Shirred One Piece also features a halter neck tie, and an open back area with a tie. Super cute! This suit also has an amazing hidden panel throughout the entire front of the midsection that smooths and sucks you in a bit. The sheering hides and disguises your midsection within this flattering design. I'm totally in love with my tummy with this suit on! I also love that the sheering ends at the hips which gives the appearance of wearing a tankini and bottoms from the front. Flattering and smart once again! The sheering continues up over the chest which really adds volume to the chest and personality to the suit in general. I was secretly hoping the color was a little more turquoise like it appeared on my computer screen, but navy tones always seem to work well for me anyway. Besides, the shimmer adds a sleek touch that I quite like. There are so many wonderful details of this suit and the quality is impeccable.

I was worried that the suit might be too short in the body (a problem I've had before with other suits), but it is definitely long enough and very comfortable. I do wish the rear was cut just a tad bit wider. In a bikini I usually go up a size on the bottoms based on my proportions (very small chest vs. big booty! haha). I know I'm still relatively thin, but I can't help but notice the increasing size of my backside over the last year or so...

Last year I the opportunity to review a tankini & adjustable scoop bottoms from Voda Swim. I definitely feel that the design of the chest cups is more flattering for my small chest with the one piece design. This is probably due in part to the fact that a one-piece holds the chest area in a certain spot, and with a tankini (and a small chest) it simply wouldn't stay put all the time and it would ride up sometimes. I'm really just that small so it isn't quite the fault of the suit. I'm just glad to have found a pushup tummy control one piece suit that flatters not only my chest, but my butt and waistline too! This push up swimsuit is definitely one of my top choices for a padded tummy control one-piece swimsuit this summer, and I highly recommend that you check them out!

Coco's Bakery and Restaurant {Review}

Coco’s Bakery and Restaurant is a family-style chain of restaurants with over 110 locations throughout California, Nevada and Arizona. With a menu of traditional American breakfasts and salads, steaks, chicken and seafood for lunch and dinner, you can't go wrong with this classic family dining experience for any meal. Bacon and eggs for breakfast? Yep, Coco's is where you want to go! They also specialize in freshly baked pies, cakes, muffins, cookies, biscuits and more. Believe me, I had to restrain myself from grabbing a slice of pie on our way out!
Coco's recently introduced a new Organic Premium Fair Trade Coffee. Their Organic Premium Coffee Program is a partnership with family farmers to purchase 100% organic, fair trade coffee, grown using the sustainable process of argo-forestry and roasted specifically for Coco's restaurants. Coco's is all about family, and this program is helping support family farmers and sustainable production of their coffee. At just $2.49, a cup of Coco's Organic Premium Fair Trade Coffee is a bargain!

Another way that Coco's is supporting local family farmers is through their new breakfast menu featuring fresh, seasonal California strawberries. I was thrilled to take my little family out to breakfast over the weekend! It was a busy Saturday at the Citrus Heights, Ca location, bustling with full tables. I ordered the Fresh Strawberry Breakfast Supreme for $9.99. It included a stack of buttermilk pancakes topped with fresh glazed strawberries and whipped cream, and a plate with scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns. We had the option of sausage instead of bacon (or some of each), or breakfast potatoes or seasonal fruit instead of hash browns. They also have a Fresh Strawberry French Toast Combo or the Fresh Strawberry Belgian Waffle Combo for just $9.29 each.

Fresh Strawberry Breakfast Supreme

I actually split the meal with my husband since it was really quite a bit of food. I took the pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream of course! :) It was absolutely delicious. Pancakes and maple syrup gets boring and this was a refreshing change for sure. It didn't quite get to the point of tasting like a dessert, but it was sweet and full of flavor. Coco's efforts to use only the freshest ingredients really showed in this dish. My hubby enjoyed his plate also, and ultimately Buddy enjoyed a few bites from each of us too along with his kid's meal.

Despite the best efforts of our waitress, we didn't have the best experience we could have had at Coco's. Sadly, just as our meal was being served, our waitress informed us that Buddy's choice of Oatmeal & Fruit from the kid's menu was all out! This was quite disappointing to learn just as we were being served our food, but our waitress did her best to get Buddy's second choice to him right away (although it was a piece at a time as they were ready....first the fruit, then the toast, then the eggs). I think was due in part to possibly being short staffed and lack of communication with the kitchen. Our waitress also forgot to refill our waters after we had asked, and it did take a while to get our bill. Still, the restaurant was clean and I really appreciated the happy, smiley faces of the hostess and our waitress. They seemed happy to be there and really kept the whole family feel of the restaurant. I thoroughly cleaned my plate of buttermilk pancakes and fresh strawberries and that is what I will remember most!

Disclosure: I received a gift card to Coco's to facilitate this review. No other compensation was received. This is my completely honest opinion above and may be different from yours.

Let's Get Real. Infertility Sucks.

My fertility (or lack there of) is a topic I have not discussed on my blog at all. It's just so personal and hard for me to talk about such a sore subject so openly. I thought it was time that I opened up a bit and shared. This is not at all a rant, this is my journey.

During the almost 1 1/2 years I've been writing on my blog we've been actively trying to conceive (with the exception of my hernia surgery month of course). Watching from afar as my friends announce their pregnancies and have their babies has been increasing hard to watch, and oh so painful. And then to watch as multiple newlywed couples in my immediate and extended family who got married in 2011 all announce they are expecting? Wow, I find myself incredibly frustrated, saddened, and broken within my journey. Will a second child ever happen for ME? Don't get me wrong. I'm very happy for anyone having their own miracle. Babies, after all, are a precious gift and miracle from God. It's just seems so unfair to ME. Then I feel selfish, but incomplete all over again. It's a vicious cycle each month as the pregnancy tests come back negative each time and I wallow in my broken body that seems to not work right. Some days are good, and some are just plain horrible. And those days when Aunt Flo comes knocking with major cramps, woah, I just need a break from it all so I can curl up in bed to pass the day.

My sister-in-law has been a great encourager and supporter of me in all this. She has also experienced baby losses but after years of waiting was blessed with a precious bundle in October last year. I'm truly blessed to have her and thankful that we've been able to support each other through our similar experiences. She has helped put into perspective my angry/mad/upset/crushed/frustrated feelings when seeing everyone else seem to get pregnant, but not me, by saying this about her own trials..."they weren't reflections of how I felt about them (other pregnant women) as an individual, but of the struggle for me to conceive." I don't think I can portray my feelings any better than how she said it. It's actually not about how I feel about the person or anything against them in any way. It's my own personal frustration with the process of trying to have another little miracle and the sadness it brings when I'm reminded of my journey.

I have a history of miscarriages. I've now lost 4 babies.....4 precious baby beans. Before we had Buddy in 2008, we lost a baby at 6 weeks and another at 11 weeks. With monitoring by my doctor and a little testing, we learned my main issue (and hopefully my only) is very, very low progesterone, causing a variety of issues including a short luteal phase. This was finally tested for after having another early miscarriage last summer. My progesterone levels are so low that I'm like a menopausal woman in regards to how my body feels and side effects I experience. For 6 months last year I took progesterone supplements for the second half of each cycle in hopes of conceiving and holding in a pregnancy. We were so hopeful that there would soon be a light at the end of the tunnel. Another baby to carry for 9 glorious months. Another baby finally in my arms.

The 6th month of progesterone brought on every side effect imaginable so I went in to see my doctor. She prescribed Clomid. Now, try imagining me and my initial thoughts on this. My all-natural preferences and all, struggling with going this route, or possibly even farther to fertility specialists. I'm already taking progesterone which is probably messing with my body in the long run. But, what choice do I have? Diet changes, supplements, getting healthier, and just trying to live normally isn't working. So, I'm on Clomid right now. I'm currently on my 4th (and probably final) cycle. The first month on Clomid I lost another baby very early on because my doctor didn't put me on progesterone early enough after ovulation. Apparently it's normal to wait until blood work comes back positive to go on progesterone for someone like me. Well, I didn't even get that far. My bloodwork was negative but prior to that I took multiple tests for 2 days at different times. For 4 wonderful days I felt alive, and definitely pregnant. I was pregnant. I just wasn't tested early enough. My levels were just so low that now it's very clear that I can't go without progesterone in any cycle while trying to conceive. Each cycle after that I've now been on progesterone along with Clomid, in hopes that the combination will work.

My pride and joy.

As I watch Buddy get older, it pains me to even think that he may never get a sibling, or have what I had growing up with lots of brothers and sisters. I love him dearly and want so much for him. In a way I feel that I am failing him by not being able to give him a brother or sister. I also feel like I'm so focused on having another one that I'm passing by the precious moments I have now with my son. So in that way I feel like I'm failing as a mom too! Oh mommy guilt. It's the worst. So, my journey through infertility is constantly reminding me that he is more than enough and for that I am so grateful. If I never have another baby, my son is all I need, and all I'm supposed to have. So here we are. All caught up on the main details of my journey to have another little baby. And now, we wait patiently since ultimately only God is in control.

I know it's hard for people who haven't been through child losses to understand how this feels. You may not know what to say and I understand that. I'm not asking you to understand or pity me. I'm just hoping that sharing my journey might help another mama out there. Or that it might encourage you to be compassionate about the women and mamas around you, and think about where they might be on their own journey.

Do you have a journey to share? Did you struggle with infertility? Please share your story!

MyMela : Saving Traditional Crafts of India {Review}

MyMela is a new philanthropic site and its an awesome resource to find handmade jewelry (there are pieces UNDER $25!) and amazing handmade home and fashion accessories (most are under $100!). Jessica Alba was recently spotted wearing the Milky Way Lambswool Scarf ($69) carried exclusively on the site!'s mission is to provide India's artisans with a sustainable e-commerce platform that will help them preserve their centuries-old traditions and businesses, which are in decline due to poverty, high interest loans and competition from low-cost, mass produced products from other countries.

MyMela offers many items, including beautiful bangles and bracelets, perfect for accessorizing your summer wardrobe! I received the Regal Gift Bangle Set for this review.

These three brass bangles are nickel-free and hypoallergenic. The colors are gold and a deep purple (although it seems to change in different lights, and looks blue in my photos!). Gold is not a color I usually would wear, especially in jewelry. However, with the purple it seems to work well with my pale skin tone and I'm enjoying the challenges of coordinating outfits with this new found color in my accessories! I love the designs on each one, using traditional jali artistry and inlaid bone. Wearing all three together is a fun contrast of designs and really stands out! This set of three bangles for just $14.95 is a bargain in comparison to designer jewelry that can go for a lot more. They also came in a cute little organza bag that makes it even easier to give as a gift. The quality is very nice so you really can't go wrong with this set of bangles from MyMela!

I love that shopping with MyMela is supporting artisans of India who may not otherwise be able continue their traditions in the way of art and creativity. By giving artisans in India the opportunity to offer their goods in a sustainable marketplace like MyMela, these artisans are more likely to preserve the artistic traditions from their past, and empower future generations to do the same. MyMela provides a convenient and affordable online platform for these artisans to further their opportunities in life for themselves and their families.

Want to make a difference? Check out MyMela's assortment of beautiful scarves, jewelry, frames and more and make a purchase today. Or you can even support these artisans through MyMela's IMAF (Integrated Micro Advance Funding) program. You can fund a loan request from an artisan that needs to purchase raw materials, training, or other improvements at a 0% interest rate. Rudi's Gluten-Free Bakery : Celiac Awareness Month & Spread The Bread Campaign! Review & Giveaway! Ends 5/30

Rudi's Gluten-Free Bakery has come out with a new product to add to their already-delicious line of gluten-free goodies! Can you say hooray for gluten-free tortillas!? Yep, that's right. Rudi's new gluten-free tortillas come in three flavors: Plain, Spinach and Fiesta. They're not only great for celiac's and those with gluten intolerances, but they even has a whopping 5 grams of fiber in each one. I had the opportunity to try these new tortillas and I'll share my thoughts with you in a moment. But first, let's talk about something near and dear to Rudi's Gluten-Free!

Did you know that May is Celiac Awareness Month? I'm sure if you have celiac disease or have a gluten-intolerance you already knew this! Well, Rudi's Gluten-Free Bakery is committed to promoting the awareness and education of celiac disease and gluten-intolerance, so they are celebrating this month with their second annual Spread the Bread campaign. Basically that means up to $30,000 is going to some fabulous organizations that aim to support celiac awareness.

Through the rest of May, fans of Rudi’s Gluten-Free on Facebook will be able to select one of four celiac organizations to receive a $1 donation from Rudi’s Gluten-Free and will then be able to download a $1 off coupon for ANY Rudi’s Gluten-Free product! You aren't paying a dime out of your own pocket to help these organizations AND get a coupon for yourself, so get going!

Now for my thoughts on these new tortillas! Initially I was a bit worried when I pulled out the first plain tortilla. They are thin and different in texture in my hands than I'm used to in a flour tortilla. When I actually tasted them and the other flavors though, I thought they tasted great and the texture in my mouth was better than expected. The fiesta and spinach tortillas were definitely a welcome break from the normal plain tortillas I normally go for and added a bit of zing and fun. These tortillas do break apart easier than a flour tortilla, so I found that wrapping up a taco or chicken wrap for lunch was a bit interesting and folding one in half for a quesadilla definitely wasn't pretty in the end (but it was yummy at least!). They seem to be pretty delicate! Without the gluten these tortillas are not quite the same texture you would expect from your regular flour tortilla. But for someone who is craving a tortilla and can't have the gluten, I think these are a wonderful choice because they are quite healthy and the different varieties are great!

Reusable Lunch Boxes & More from {Review}

Some disposable products are becoming a thing of the past. More and more companies are offering reusable options that are better for the planet and your wallet too. A unique one-stop shop for reusable products is One way we can all probably cut back in terms of reducing waste is our lunches, and they can certainly help you in that area too. They offer a large selection of reusable lunch boxes, bags, totes, water bottles, tableware, kitchen storage, napkins, utensils, sandwich and snack bags, and lots more.

For this review I received the BlueAvocado Chil Clutch Insulated Reusable Bag in the Navy AvoDot print. Isn't it super cute?!
BlueAvocado itself is an amazing company started by three women entrepreneurs from Austin, Texas. They want to empower consumers to make better choices in reducing their carbon footprint, all in a stylish, fun way through their products. This bag is not only darn cute, but in particular it's very eco-friendly since it's polyester materials is made from 50% Repreve recycled fibers from plastic bottles. This product is also sustainable by eliminating the need for plastic and paper bags over the life of the bag and it also promotes a more sustainable path for plastic too. This bag is insulated which means it's perfect for your cold products while grocery shopping, for picnics, take-out meals, and even a nice big lunch with extra room for dessert to share!  It features inside PVC-free insulation, a zipper top, three small d-rings for keys etc, and pockets too. It's also machine washable which is a bonus since we all know bacteria transfers and grows over time.

This bag is surprisingly lightweight and easy to carry, despite not being a shoulder bag like you normally see with a reusable bag. The handle feels soft and sturdy in your hands too. Because of the insulation and convenient zipper, this is a great choice for those warm days this summer. This is the first reusable shopping bag I've ever used that has some structure to it, and also the first insulated large reusable bag I've owned. I totally feel like I've been missing out! Even though I'm relatively close to all my favorite grocery stores, the super hot days are no fun and I often worry about my eggs and meat especially. As you can see I was able to pack a lot of groceries in the bag on a recent trip to Trader Joes. I didn't buy any meat this time, but this bag helped keep my cold goodies perfectly chilled for the ride home. The only thing that is hard to fit inside is anything that is tall and shouldn't lay on it's side in the bag. A small carton of orange juice for example has a hard time fitting since the zipper goes higher on each side, but lower in the middle due to the zipper. My one suggestion for this bag would be that I wish the handle wasn't incorporated into the existing silhouette, but separately as a new piece above the current highest point. Otherwise I think the quality is great and the design is very cute and appealing! If this is any indication of what other products are like from ReUseIt, then I'm totally thrilled. This is a great find!
